A MONSTER UNDER THESE CONDITIONS

MAYBE YOU DIDN'T HEAR ME

AS FAMOUS AS THE MOON

SO GOOD

I THOUGHT IT WAS YOU

SINCE LOVE'S COME AROUND

ADVENTURE

WAITING ON HEAVEN

THE BEST THAT I CAN DO

THIS HAS BEEN A WONDERFUL TIME

NOTHING

SYNCHRONICITY

Synchronicity is about the spiritual truth that there are no coincidences. I'm sure by now, in this time that has been dubbed the decade of spirituality, this is not the first time you have heard this idea. William Shakespeare wrote "All the world's a stage and all its people merely players." What he didn't' write was maybe, just possibly, we are also the writers, casting directors and producers as well. We are the creators not just reactors. It would be easy to go through life with the information that has been passed down through years of pain and oppression to believe that we and life are happenstance. However my personal experience has brought me to a place of knowing this is not so. This concept of no coincidences if often referred to as Synchronicity. The play does not aim at trying to convince anyone of anything, for that would not be entertaining. It does however introduce these concepts through the incredible voice of Tammy, a beautiful, new age, drag queen. The New York theatre scene serves as its backdrop. Each character has their own neurosis and lessons to learn in life. Don't we all? What the play demonstrates is how this truth plays out. Those people that just seem to push all our buttons are really the people trying to bring us closer to who we really are. Synchronicity is about growth, pain, love, and the ability to just laugh at ourselves when it all seems to be too much. It's about the "human experience."
